At its heart is a two-layer mattress: 70% high-density support foam and 30% memory foam. The supportive lower layer carries your dog’s weight, while the memory foam above gently adapts to their shape. Cushioned walls create a place to lean and rest their head, finished with your chosen removable top.

Rebound Foam uses a formed foam mattress rather than loose microbeads. It offers a consistent sleeping platform without moving loose filling around or topping up beans. If you prefer the feel of a mattress with a softer surface and a supportive foundation, this is the Rebound Foam approach.

Start with the breed finder, then measure your own dog in their favourite sleeping position. Compare their length and spread with the size guide and allow room to stretch and change position. The dimensions shown on the size cards describe the overall bed, including its cushioned walls—not the clear sleeping area inside. Choose more room for a sprawler, a larger individual or dogs sharing.

XXL is our starting recommendation for Great Danes, Bullmastiffs and Irish Wolfhounds. Large is the starting point for Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, Dobermanns and Huskies. Breed names are a guide, not a guarantee of fit: check your individual dog’s sleeping measurements, especially for a tall or unusually large dog.

The combination of a stable support layer and a softer memory-foam surface can make a comfortable resting place for older dogs. Check that your dog can step into the bed comfortably and has enough room to turn. A bed is not a treatment for joint disease; if mobility or pain affects their sleep, ask your vet about their individual needs.

Unzip the top and follow the care label for your particular fabric. Use a mild detergent and allow it to line-dry fully before refitting. Avoid bleach, tumble drying, ironing and dry cleaning. Having a second compatible top lets your dog keep their familiar resting place while the other is being cleaned.

Do not put the foam mattress in a washing machine or soak it. Remove the washable top for routine cleaning and wipe the outer base as needed. If moisture reaches the inside, separate the removable components and let everything dry thoroughly before reassembling. Always follow the component care labels.

The outer base is waterproof; that does not make every part of the bed waterproof. The top, seams, openings and foam still need appropriate care. Wipe spills promptly and keep the mattress dry. Do not leave the assembled bed exposed to prolonged rain or standing water.

SmartVent is a mesh ventilation opening in the base. It gives displaced air a route out as your dog settles, allowing the bed to respond rather than trapping air inside the waterproof outer fabric. Keep the opening unobstructed. It is a passive vent, not a fan or a powered cooling system.

No dog bed should be treated as indestructible. The robust base and protected zip are designed to resist everyday wear, but a determined chewer can still damage fabric and foam. Supervise a dog that chews, inspect the bed regularly and remove access to damaged parts before loose material can be swallowed.

The zip-off top is designed to be removable. Choose a compatible replacement in the correct bed size, checking the product listing before ordering. A fresh top can change the look and feel while keeping the mattress and base in use. Available fabrics and colours may vary by size.

Check the exact option selected before adding to your basket. A complete bed includes the mattress, base and selected top. An option described as an insert and base with no top does not include that finishing cover. Hoodies and other accessories are separate unless the chosen listing explicitly includes them.

There are no loose beans to refill. The foam construction is designed to maintain a supportive resting surface through regular use. Its condition over time depends on your dog, use and care: keep it dry, use the correct size and replace worn removable components when needed.

The protective base makes it practical for suitable indoor and outdoor use, but the complete bed should be kept dry and sheltered. Bring it inside after use and avoid prolonged rain, standing water and extended exposure to harsh weather. The waterproof base is not a reason to leave the foam mattress outdoors unprotected.
